On 4 December, the European Commission, the Council, and the European Parliament have reached a provisional agreement to postpone the entry into force of EUDRs to December 30, 2026 (for large and medium-sized enterprises) and June 30, 2027 (for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises), and to simplify compliance procedures.
The regulations originally scheduled to take effect on December 30, 2025, will now take effect on December 30, 2026 for large and medium-sized enterprises, while micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises will receive an additional six-month grace period (until June 30, 2027).
The European Commission will launch a new round of simplification reviews before April 30, 2026, to assess the effectiveness of the regulations’ implementation.
